Making her debut for Warwickshire in 2015, Davis has quickly become Warwickshire’s go-to spinner. The 24-year-old helped guide Warwickshire to T20 glory in 2019 as she took 7 wickets in the tournament, including 3 against Lancashire in the final. That year she was also Warwickshire’s leading wicket-taker in the county championship, taking 12 wickets including her List A best of 4/18. Her impressive form continued, as Davis found herself the joint-second leading wicket-taker in the 2022 Women’s T20 Cup, taking 13 wickets. She also claimed her first 5 wicket haul, as she took 5/14 against Gloucestershire.
In 2020, Davis made her debut for Central Sparks in the Rachel Heyhoe Flint Trophy taking four wickets at an average of 20.25. She enjoyed a stellar season in 2021, taking nine wickets, In the 50-over tournament as well as eight wickets in the Charlotte Edwards Cup, the most for the Sparks. Later on in the season, she made her Hundred debut for Trent Rockets, where she took two wickets in five appearances. She was retained for the following season by the Rockets, where she took another two wickets at an average of 18.5.
Davis’ hard work was rewarded when she signed her first professional contract with Central Sparks at the start of 2023 after leaving a public sector career to pursue her passion. She also swapped Nottingham for Wales this summer however, this was cut short with injury. A fantastic Rachel Heyhoe Flint Trophy campaign with 27 wickets at 14.77 named here in the Team of the season 2023.
Her exceptional performances have deservedly gained her a call up for the England A squad this winter.
